Digital Footprint

Overview

The Digital Footprints module in SAFE discovers and monitors an organization’s externally exposed assets and related risks across the internet. It automatically maps the organization’s attack surface by identifying domains, subdomains, and IP addresses.

On the Digital Footprints page, the system displays:

• Summary Statistics – Total number of discovered assets and impacted assets.

• Asset Distribution by Country – Breakdown of assets across top countries.

• Asset Inventory Table – A detailed list of all discovered items, including:

  • Asset Name,Domain, IP

  • Asset Type (Domain, IP, Cloud Storage, Application, etc.)

  • Location

  • Finding Count

  • Last Updated Date

Manage Exceptions

SAFE allows users to handle exceptions for Third-party assessments by manually managing assets (IP addresses and domains).

Clicking the Manage Exceptions button redirects you to the Exception List page, where you can:

• View all previously created exception requests.

• Check the status of each request.

Create an Exception to Add an Asset

1. Click the Create Exception button.

2. Select the Add option.

3. Enter the asset details (IP address or domain).

4. Provide the rationale for adding the asset.

5. Click the Create button.

Note: The SAFE Threat Intelligence team reviews and responds to your request within 5 working days.

Create an Exception to Remove Assets

1. Click the Create Exception button.

2. Select the remove option. The system will display the list of assets.

3. Search and select the assets to remove.

4. Click the create button. The system creates the request for the same.
