Remove Findings from a Ticket

Prev Next

Introduction

If the scope of a remediation ticket changes, you can remove one or more findings from the ticket. This is useful when findings were added to the wrong ticket or when the ticket scope needs to be refined. Once removed, the findings can be associated with a different ticket.

Remove Findings from a Ticket

  1. Navigate to Projects > Tickets.

  2. Open the ticket from which you want to remove findings.

  3. Go to the Findings tab.

  4. Select one or more findings that you want to remove.

  5. Click Remove from Ticket.

  6. Review the confirmation message and click Confirm.

The selected findings are removed from the ticket, and the ticket progress is automatically recalculated based on the updated scope.

What Happens After Removal

  • The selected findings are removed from the ticket.

  • The ticket's Initial Finding Count is updated to reflect the reduced scope.

  • The ticket progress is recalculated using the updated finding count.

  • The removed findings become available to be linked to another ticket.

  • The changes may take a few minutes to appear in the user interface.

Notes

  • Remove from Ticket is available only for findings that are already linked to a ticket (Ticketed = Yes).

  • All selected findings must belong to an existing ticket.

  • You can remove findings by selecting specific findings or by using filters, but not both in the same operation.

  • A single remove operation supports up to 10,000 findings across a maximum of 500 tickets.

  • Removed findings are not deleted from SAFE; only their association with the ticket is removed.
