Financial Risk Estimation for General Risks

Financial Risk is the product of Breach Likelihood (SAFE Score) and Estimated Financial Impact with Monte Carlo simulation to predict the most likely amount of money at risk from cyber attacks within the next year. Financial Impact, or Maximum Severity, is an estimation of what the actual cost of one or more cyberattacks were the attacks to occur.

Today, SAFE supports key general risk’s financial impact estimation using default cost drivers derived from Safe Security’s proprietary risk intelligence database. This database is continuously evolving to support new general risks.
