# Zendesk

This document provides the step-by-step procedure to configure Zendesk in SAFE.

## **Introduction**

SAFE integrates with Zendesk and fetches the security misconfiguration of the Zendesk account in SAFE.

## **Prerequisites**

---

- Access required in **SAFE**:
  - SAFE Admin Access
- Access required in **Zendesk**:
  - Zendesk Admin
- Required User Inputs:
  - API URL
  - Username
  - API Token
  - Asset Name in SAFE (optional)
- Required Scope:
  - Admin Access

## **Generate Connection Details**

### Generate an **API Token**

**Steps:**

---

- Log in to your Zendesk account as **Admin**.
- Click on the **Setting** icon on the left panel.
- Click **Go to Admin Center** option.

- Navigate to **Apps and Integrations.**
- Click on **Zendesk API**.
- Click the **Add API token**button.

- Enter the API token description.
- The system displays the API token. Copy and save the API token to use it while configuring Zendesk in SAFE.
- Click the **Save** button.

> Regularly update the API Token in SAFE according to its expiration date.

### How to get **API URL**

**Steps:**

---

- Log in to your Zendesk account as **Admin**.
- In the exhibit provided, find the URL highlighted, Copy and save this *API URL* to use it while configuring Zendesk in SAFE.

## **Configure Zendesk in SAFE**

Steps:

- Log in to your SAFE account as **Admin**.
- Click on the **Integrations**option from the left navigation.
- Scroll to find the Zendesk integration card or use the search bar to locate it.

- Hover over the Zendesk integration card and click on the **Configure** button.
- Enter the following:
  - **API URL**
  - **Username**
  - **API Token**
  - **Asset Name in SAFE**(optional): Provide a unique identifier which can uniquely identify the asset.
- Enter the **Auto Sync Frequency**.
- Click on the **Test Connection** button to verify the integration.
- Once the connection is successful, click on the **Save** button.

- Once the configuration is saved successfully, click on the **Sync** **Now** button to trigger an on-demand sync.

> Upon a successful sync, the system pulls the Zendesk assets and their findings in SAFE. You can track the status of the sync in the **History** table.

## **View Results**

Steps:

- Go to the **Integrations** homepage.
- Scroll to find the Zendesk integration card or search for Zendesk in the search bar.
- Click on the Zendesk integration card for **Finding View** and **Asset View**.
  - **Finding View:** This tab displays all the findings details pulled from Zendesk.

## **SAFE's Outgoing IP Addresses**

Click [here](https://docs.safe.security/safe-4/docs/safes-outgoing-ip-addresses) to find the outgoing IP addresses of SAFE. All traffic to any integrations in SAFE will see one IP address as the source IP of the incoming connection.
