# Sentry

This document provides the step-by-step procedure to configure Sentry in SAFE.

## **Introduction**

---

SAFE integrates with Sentry and fetches the security misconfiguration of the Sentry account in SAFE.

## **Prerequisites**

---

- Access required in **SAFE**:
  - SAFE Admin Access
- Access required in **Sentry**:
  - Sentry Admin Access
- Required User Inputs:
  - API URL
  - Organization Slug
  - Token
- Required Scope:
  - Organization - Read
  - Member - Read

## **Generate Connection Details**

---

- How to generate **API Token**
  - Log in to your Sentry account as **Admin**.
  - Click on the **Settings**
  - Click on the **Custom Integrations** under **Developer Settings**
  - Click on the **Create New Integration**

  - Select **Internal Integration**
  - Click on the **Next** button

  - Enter the **Name** and click on **Save Changes**
  - Select the following permissions:
    - Organization - Read
    - Member - Read

  - Scroll down to the page, Under **Tokens** click on the **New Token** button.
  - Copy and save the **API Token** to use it while configuring **Sentry** in SAFE.
  - It's important to regularly update the API Token in SAFE according to its expiration date.

- How to get **Organization Slug**
  - Log in to your Sentry account as **owner**.
  - Click on the **Settings**
  - Click on the **General Settings**under**Organization**
  - Copy and save the **Organization Slug** to use it while configuring **Sentry** in SAFE

- How to get **API URL**
  - Access the Sentry API documentation by clicking on the provided [link](https://docs.sentry.io/api/requests/).
  - Upon reaching the Sentry API documentation page, locate the section titled as "**Requests**".
  - In the exhibit provided, find the base URL highlighted as 3. Copy and save this API Base URL to use it while configuring Sentry in SAFE.

## **Configure Sentry in SAFE**

---

- Log in to your SAFE account as **Admin**.
- Click on the **Integrations**option from the left navigation.
- Scroll to find the **Sentry** integration card or Search for **Sentry** in the search bar.

- Hover on the **Sentry** card and click on the **Configure** button
- Enter the following:
  - API URL
  - Organization Slug
  - Token
- Enter the **Auto Sync Frequency**.
- Click on the **Test Connection** button.
- Once the connection is verified, click on the **Save** button.

- Click on the **Sync** **Now** button to trigger an on-demand sync.
- Upon a successful sync, the system pulls the Sentry assets and their findings in SAFE. You can track the status of the sync in the History table.

## **View Results**

- Scroll down to the **Finding View** and **Asset View**available on the integration page.
  - **Finding View**: This tab displays all the findings details pulled from Sentry.

## **SAFE's Outgoing IP Addresses**

---

Click [here](https://docs.safe.security/safe-4/docs/safes-outgoing-ip-addresses) to find the outgoing IP addresses of SAFE. All traffic to any integrations in SAFE will see one IP address as the source IP of the incoming connection.
