About this document

This document provides you a step-by-step procedure to resolve the conflicts for AWS accounts that were already onboarded as credentials type and again re-onboarded via Assume Role.

Resolve conflicts while re-onboarding the AWS Accounts

SAFE can detect and highlight the AWS accounts which were already onboarded as credentials type and again re-onboarded via Assume Role as conflicts. SAFE admins can resolve these conflicts right from the SAFE UI.

If an AWS account is onboarded using credentials and then re-onboarded using the Assume Role, the account is seen under the Confirmed tab with the warning sign indicating conflict status.

The conflicts can be resolved by two options - Resolve Conflicts button at the top of the table or Resolve Conflict option in the Manage menu for conflicting accounts.
Users can click the Resolve Conflict button and update their preferences as Assume Role or Credentials Type.

To resolve the conflicting account:

  1. Navigate to the Administration > SAFE Hooks > AWS
  2. Click the Resolve Conflict button at the top of the Confirmed AWS accounts table.
  3. Resolve Conflict pop-up screen displays the list of all the conflicting accounts.
  4. Select the accounts from the list to resolve.
  5. Select the account onboarding method as Assume Role or Credentials as per your requirement.
  6. Click the Confirm button. The account will be resolved to the selected onboarding type.

Info

The system assesses the conflicting accounts via the Credentials authentication type until the conflict is resolved.
