# Fastly

This document provides the step-by-step procedure to configure Fastly in SAFE.

## Introduction

---

SAFE integrates with Fastly, and fetches the security misconfiguration of the Fastly account in SAFE.

## Prerequisites

---

- Access required in **SAFE**:
  - SAFE Admin Access
- Access required in **Fastly**:
  - Fastly Super User
- Required User Inputs:
  - API URL
  - API Token
- Scope:
  - Read Access

## Generate Connection Details

---

- How to generate **API Token**
  - Log in to your Fastly account as **Superuser**.

  - Click on your profile drop-down available at the top-right of the screen.
  - Click on the **Account** option.

  - Click on the **API tokens**from the left navigation under **Personal Profile** section.
  - Click on the **Create Token**button.

  - Enter your account password and click on the **Continue** button.
  - Enter the **Token** **Name**.
  - Select the **Type** as **User token**.

  - Select the **Scope** as "Read-only access (global:read) to read account information configuration and stats."
  - Select the **Access** as **All services**.
  - Set the **Token** **Expiry** date. It's important to regularly update the API Token in SAFE according to its expiration date.

  - Click on the **Create Token** button.

  - Enter your account password and click on the **Continue**button.
  - The system displays the **API Token**. **Copy** and **save** the token to use it while configuring Fastly in SAFE.

- How to get **API URL**
  - Access the Fastly API documentation by clicking on the provided [link](https://www.fastly.com/documentation/reference/api/).
  - Upon reaching the Fastly API documentation page, locate the section titled as "**Domain**".
  - In the exhibit provided, find the base URL highlighted as 3. **Copy** and **save** this *API Base URL* to use it while configuring Fastly in SAFE.

## Configure Fastly in SAFE

---

- Log in to your SAFE account as **Admin**.
- Click on the **Integrations**option from the left navigation.
- Scroll to find Fastly integration card or search for Fastly in the search bar.

- Hover over the **Fastly** integration card and click on the **Configure** button.
- Enter the**API URL** and **API Token**.
- Enter the **Auto Sync Frequency**.

- Click on the **Test Connection** button.
- Once the connection is successful, click on the **Save** button.

- Once the configuration is saved successfully, click on the **Sync** **Now** button to trigger an on-demand sync.
- Upon a successful sync, the system pulls the Fastly assets and their findings in SAFE. You can track the status of the sync in the **History** table.

## View Results

---

- Go to the Integrations on the Left navigation.
- Scroll to find the Fastly integration card or search for Fastly in the search bar.
- Click on the Fastly integration card for **Finding View** and **Asset View**.
  - **Finding View:** This tab displays all the findings details pulled from Fastly.

## SAFE's Outgoing IP Addresses

---

Click [here](https://docs.safe.security/safe-4/docs/safes-outgoing-ip-addresses) to find the outgoing IP addresses of SAFE. All traffic to any integrations in SAFE will see one IP address as the source IP of the incoming connection.
