Broadcom VMWare vCenter is an advanced server management software that provides a centralized platform for controlling vSphere environments for visibility across hybrid clouds. The Balbix integration with Broadcom VMWare vCenter ingests IT infrastructure assets and associated inventory discovered by Broadcom VMWare vCenter.

Prerequisites
To configure the Balbix connector, you must first have a Broadcom VMWare vCenter user account with appropriate roles and permissions assigned. This is required for completing the configuration process.
Create a User in vCenter
Here’s how to create a user in Broadcom VMWare vCenter:
Log in to Broadcom VMWare vCenter with a user account that has an Admin role.
Go to Menu > Administration.
Click Users and Groups. In the Users tab, select the desired domain from the Domain dropdown.
Click ADD USER to open the Add User dialog box.
Enter the required details, such as username, password, first name, last name, and email. Save the username and password securely, as they will be needed to configure the connector.
Click ADD. The dialog box will close, and the Users and Groups page will display the newly added user.
In the Administration menu, go to Access Control > Global Permissions and assign read-only permissions to the new user.
Ensure the Propagate to children checkbox is selected.
Note: A Super Administrator role is required to fetch local user accounts.

Click Next to configure the connector.
