A Remediation Project includes multiple vulnerabilities that can be mitigated together. This approach allows security teams to track, prioritize, and manage vulnerabilities systematically to reduce overall risk. Remediation projects can include one or more vulnerabilities that are grouped by common criteria, such as severity, entity type, or affected system.
With Balbix, you have the flexibility to create remediation projects for various entities within your organization, including Assets, and Applications. Here are a few benefits of using remediation projects to manage critical exposures and having a workflow integrated into the platform:

You can also email the project, subscribe to the project, or export the project.
When an asset is retired from your environment, it will be automatically removed from the remediation project tracking, along with its associated exposure instances and fixes. This removal ensures that your project metrics and counts reflect only active assets within your organization's infrastructure. Conversely, if a previously retired asset is resuscitated and brought back into service, it will be automatically re-added to the relevant remediation projects, with all its associated exposure instances and fixes restored to the tracking system.
This dynamic handling of asset lifecycle changes may result in some day-to-day variation in the summary project widgets, as assets move in and out of retirement status. Organizations should expect to see minor fluctuations in project metrics and counts as part of normal operations, reflecting the natural evolution of their asset inventory through retirements and resuscitations. These variations are a reflection of the platform's real-time tracking capabilities and ensure that remediation projects always represent the current state of your active infrastructure.
