# Configure asset and apps automations

Use this workflow to configure asset and app automations.

The **Scope of Automation** can have the following values:

- Use current table filter
- Use new filter
- Assets in specified Group
- Assets matching Saved Filter

The **Automation Trigger Type** can have the following values:

- Upon next evaluation
- Based on a schedule
- On a specific date

These are the actions you can trigger with the automation:

- Send Slack
- Send Email
- Add Tags
- Send Export
- Remove Tags
- Set Element Attributes

If you select **Set Element Attributes**, you can configure the following:

- Attribute to update
- Select Asset Type
- Select Asset Subtype

Select **Make this active on creation** to activate the automation immediately.
