Armis Connector Guide

Prev Next

Armis is an agentless device security platform used to help enterprises see and protect unmanaged and IoT devices. The Balbix integration with Armis ingests IoT, OT assets, associated software and vulnerabilities information.

Balbix uses AI to aggregate, normalize and deduplicate ingested information, along with data integrated from your other IT and cybersecurity tools, to provide a unified view of your entire asset inventory, vulnerabilities, and business and operational context. This information is further analyzed by Balbix AI models to provide deployment gap analysis, risk-based vulnerability prioritization (with strict rank and score) and quantification of risk for a single asset, groups of assets and the entire enterprise.

Integration summary

This table provides a summary of the Balbix integration for the Armis connector.

Prerequisites

To configure the Balbix connector, you must first create Armis API credentials with the appropriate permissions. These credentials are required for completing the configuration process.

Get an API key

An API key value is required to access the Armis API.

  1. Log in to the Armis management console. The system displays a list of API keys associated with your account.

  2. Each API key shows the fields as follows:

    Field

    Description

    Name

Current API key name. Rename it by clicking the pencil symbol.

    Value

API key value. Click the eye symbol to see the value and note it. You'll need this value when authenticating requests.

    Usage

Percentage of API key's quota that has been used. When usage reaches 100%, the API key is suspended until the quota period ends.

    Quota

Periodic quota associated with the API key.

    Daily

API key permission to access daily data.

    Monthly

API key permission to access monthly (historic) data.

    Expires

Expiration date of the API key, after which it will be disabled.

    Enabled

API key enabled or disabled indicator.

  3. Refer to Explore the API for running API requests using the API key of your choice.

Set up your Armis connector

After completing the prerequisites, follow these steps to configure your Balbix connector for Armis.
